Where we are
Set in the most delightful environment for cyclists with its quiet roads beautiful countryside with rolling hills and spectacular views, Kirkcudbright enjoys a gentle climate. The delightful town has a busy fishing harbour and Marina and has a flourishing colony of painters and craft workers. This has led to it being called "The Artists' Town". Other well known features of the town are the pastel coloured houses and wide streets and the free parking all over town. The area offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, attractive coastal landscapes and safe country roads.
The town is easily accessible from the M6/M74 motorway system and from Stranraer and the Irish Sea ferries.
Set amidst beautiful coastal countryside self catering, bed & breakfast and hotels. We are also especially well served by a number on high quality caravan and camping sites.
This a vibrant community which organizes an incredible number of diverse events for all the family.
This is and ideal location for you to bring your non cycling family/partners. They will be well entertained.
Throughout the summer a variety of entertainment is provided by Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities. This ranges from Scottish Nights to Classic Car rallies, from Historic Walks to a Medieval Fayre. There is also an Annual Jazz Festival and a Spectacular Tattoo is held every August. And we hold a Summer Art Exhibition in the Town Hall throughout July and August.
